Upcoming Events: Canadian Jiu Jitsu Council Technical Seminar and Black Belt Grading Examinations

Dear esteemed members of the Snow Tiger Martial Arts Association,

We are excited to announce an enriching opportunity for continuous learning and skill advancement. A Technical Seminar, organised by the Canadian Jiu Jitsu Council, will take place at the Bushido Kai Jiu Jitsu Club, located at 3185 Unity Drive, Mississauga. This free event is exclusively for members of the Canadian Jiu Jitsu Council and will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2023, from noon to 3 PM. Explore the core techniques of the curriculum, guided by the Council’s Directors themselves.

Switching gears to the subject of formal grading, we would like to notify all aspirants for Black Belt Grading Examinations that these will occur on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at the same venue. The first-degree examinations will commence at 8:30 AM, followed by higher degrees starting at 11:00 AM. Please prepare accordingly.

To partake in the Black Belt Grading Examinations, the following documents must be mailed in advance to “Canadian Jiu Jitsu Council, PO Box 543, Madoc, Ontario, K0K 2K0”:

  1. A fully completed application form, accompanied by a recent photograph.
  2. A photocopy of a valid Standard First Aid Certificate.

The examination fee is $250.00. We have attached the original posters and application forms from Council Director and President Sensei Robert Walther for your convenience.

Engagement in these upcoming events not only enriches individual practice but also fortifies the community we’ve so carefully built together. Such opportunities serve as tangible milestones on our collective philosophical journey through martial arts, offering both practical skills and deeper understanding.

Warm regards,
The Snow Tiger Martial Arts Association Team
